together
This project highlights the human body and the toll it has taken over the last year, conveying different situations and emotions faced throughout the pandemic through illustrations and animations of abstract bodies. These include Isolation, Education, Mental Health, Unemployment, and Abuse. Visually, I utilizes an abstract style in order to emphasize that this year has been anything but normal, and has committed to a color palette to keep the illustrations consistent.
Where’s the change?
I created an activist art video titled, “Where’s the Change?” from protest footage of past events in American history compared to those in modern day society. The project comments on the social progress that has been made in contrast to what civil rights work must still be done. In conjunction with the video, I also designed a, “Respect Existence or Expect Resistance” branded sweatshirt to target the younger generations to inspire change.
Last night on sunset
A personal photo book, Last Night on Sunset is a photography book created to capture the isolated and forsaken feeling during the hours after the sun sets. All photos were taken in the Fall of 2020 in the midst of the Coronavirus pandemic. They capture the personal moments of a senior in college; navigating the world after dark and away from people.
